Swimming in September, sounds crazy but true!

Ever since I can remember it was very rare to ever have the pool open in September, let alone to go swimming in it. Well, I guess this could be considered a rare occurrence. haha One evening after one of Big H's flag football games Gpa and Gma invited us back to their house for a little cook out and swimming.  And since the boys have a few swim suits in Logan we accepted the invite!  And the boys swam in the pool, in September! It was their one last swimming hoorah for the year.

Lil H had quite the milestone that day, and took one step closer to big boyhood, becoming one of "the boys" and got in the coveted hot tub (for just a few minutes)!! He LOVED it!

The kick is up and it's good!!

The kick is UP and it's GOOD, it SPLITS the uprights!! That is music to a football fans ears, whenever there teams attempts a kick whether it be a PAT, or a Field Goal.  BUT, what does the kick split the uprights of????? The GOAL POSTS!! Home Depot got in the spirit of the season and their project for the boys on the first Saturday of September was to make a goal post :) The boys were pretty excited!

Here is Lil H showing me the game plan!

 The boys love these projects!

Big H chose his favorite colors

Lil H once again chose to use EVERY color he could get his little brushes on

The boys had fun putting the goal posts together, they LOVE anything to do with football

His head splits the uprights, and the project is GOOD!

They go to these projects (almost) every month, and the ladies at the Home Depot know them by name! (without looking at their aprons)

GOOD JOB BOYS

Big H starts 2nd grade

It seems like just yesterday I was having a hard time accepting that my Henry was old enough to start Preschool. I can honestly say that I am becoming better at accepting the fact as Henry progresses age wise, he also progresses grade wise.  Well, so far so good! haha Though he is like a 7 year old starting 4th or 6th grade when it comes to math and reading. He started 2nd grade this year!

I think that this is the first year I was somewhat excited to send him out the door, that is until I closed the door only to turn and see Lil H looking at me with a sad face..... he wasn't too excited. He was going to miss his buddy. He went through quite the Henry withdrawal that first day, I don't know if it is sad or cute but Lil H sat on the couch, looking out the window waiting for his Henry to come home.....he just sat there waiting, and waiting, and waiting, 2 hours later YES 2 hours later he was a happy boy and his Henry was home once again.

Henry thought it was cool, because this year his classroom was going to be in a portable. I told him that was pretty cool, my 2nd grade classroom was in a portable also. Kind of a fun thing!
