Nature pictures

So every now and then I see a sunset or something that I think might be a cool picture. Here are some of them, one night the sunset was pretty cool. The flowers are from a rose bush that we have at our house, it is huge, it kind of reminds me of the giant plant on "Little shop or horrors" that eats everything. Hopefully it will not result in doing that, it could probably swallow our house in one try. lol Well, I think that they are pretty pictures, enjoy:)

Oh my Sod!!!!

So a few weeks ago, Derek looked in the backyard and said "Let there be grass." (3 weeks laters) 'there was grass, and it was green, and it was full and it was good' lol jk. So we decided to give the backyard a little make over, and the boys a little more playing room. The boys were great and helped prep the area by picking up all the rocks and throwing them into a bucket. Dad and Grandpa Wayne went and loaded some sod onto a trailer, about 4 hours later they returned and the laying of the grass began. It turned into quite the family affair. Thanks to all of those who helped lay and watch the boys. It is filling in nicely and Derek loves looking at it EVERYDAY and the boys love playing on it.

GRADUATION

This past month Henry had the opportunity of receiving his diploma from Riverside. You could say that he definitely graduated with honors. His teachers said that he was the life of the party and the school sportstitician. They would often ask Henry his thoughts and predictions on NFL games and NBA games including the Superbowl and NBA Finals. Way to go bud!!! It seems like just yesterday you were happy and content just lying on the ground kicking your legs with a bottle in your mouth!! WE ARE PROUD OF YOU BUD!!!! You are a very smart kid.

Jeff pics in Lithuania

So we look forward to hearing from Jeff every Monday through email. And love hear how his mission is going, this time he sent pics along with his email. So I figured it would be easier to just put the pics on the blog and see them whenever we want that way compared to logging into email and all that. So here are 4 pics he sent us, the one I believe is a guy over there name Darius who they have been teaching, he plays college ball over there. I am hoping the picture of the bed is not where Jeff sleeps. I know that he said he was going to concentration camp last week, I am hoping it is from that:) lol and then the other two are just cool I think. If you look close you will see faces and fists in the rocks!! Pretty cool huh. We love ya bud!!! So I added a pic it is of Elder Manning and his new comp Elder Mattee (he will be playing football at Air Force)

DA BOYS (being the boys:)

So here are just some fun pictures of the boys. The first one is Harrison being caught in the act of making a mess he spilled the mail EVERYWHERE. Then when I asked him if he did it he shook his head and said "NA!" The ONLY reason he did not run off is ..his foot got stuck. lol The next one is Harrison taking a quick break to rehydrate while he and Henry were playing football in the house:) It was so funny he grabbed his bottle, turned his helmet to the side and inserted the bottle through the ear hole:) LOL (you gotta stay hydrated) There is also HeHa playing soccer after one of Henrys games. Henry is sporting his baseball cap, he is really going to be cutie, watch out girls when he starts school this fall;) The last pic is HeHa picking up rocks in the field out back and putting them in the bucket so dad could prepare the field for grass.

I want to ride my bicycle...I want to ride my bike!!

Queen said it best. But Henry would agree "he wants to ride his bicycle, he wants to ride his bike" EVERYDAY so if you are ever out here driving around town, beware of a little boy who may be cruising up and down the streets:) Henry has reached another milestone in his boyhood adventures. Dad upgraded his bike on Memorial Day, and Henry does an AWESOME job!! Good job bud!! Love ya:) (this is his little bike)

Gardening with Grandpa (Wayne)

Not too long ago, Grandpa asked Henry if he wanted to help him plant a garden in the field out back, Henry had fun helping plant squash. Henry is excited to watch it grow, and maybe try some if it sounds good to him:) He is not sure if he likes squash;)

Vehicular Birdslaughter

So one day when we were driving into Logan, we were going up and over "the hill" from Newton and I saw this bird standing in the road and I just thought in my head "fly away bird, fly away." So I kept going 50mph didn't think much about it then all of the sudden I heard a 'thump' noise. I glanced in my mirrors, side and rear to see if the bird had rolled onto the side of the road or if it were lying in the middle of the road. Well I saw nothing so I turned off the road and parked by the farm equipment right before you get to Sams Fellow. And what I saw I don't ever want to see again. Here are the pictures.
I couldn't believe it. It was like a 1 in a million shot. I didn't know what to do, so I turned around and drove back home and Grandpa Wayne came to my rescue and pulled the bird out :) Thanks Grandpa Wayne!!! Sorry to say though, the bird did not make it:(
Henry could not believe that I had killed a bird. But, as soon as he realized that birds are resurrected also, he was fine ;)
