EASTER EVENING

It was our Sunday to have dinner at my parents house, which is always nice and we look forward to it. But this Sunday there was MORE excitement, due to the fact it was Easter and that Henry had dipped 2 eggs for each family member!! We were going to have another egg hunt! As soon as we got there, Henry hid the eggs for everyone!!
After dinner was finished we were ready to find our eggs. Henry informed everyone of the egg hunt agenda and rules before hand:
-There were 2 eggs for each person
-One egg had the first name/the other egg had a nickname
-You were to only get the eggs that were YOURS!
Uncle Justin said that he was going to grab the first 2 eggs that he saw, Henry then informed him that, that would be considered cheating!! lol
Harrison made it quite clear that he was not a fan of hard boiled eggs, he found one of his, threw it on the grass then stomped on it!!! Totally ruined it! What a little stinker!

It started to get a little chilly so we headed in the house and watched the movie TANGLED!

If you hide it, they will look.......

So Grammanitas birthday is coming up and since Landen & Aubrie were up this weekend we did the gift giving yesterday. Derek informed his mother that her gift was on their property, and that when she discovered what and where it was to please let us know. I don't know if it had anything to do with being Easter, but she got excited like a little kid, the curiousity had gotten the best of her and outside she went to look for her present.

It was rather entertaining to say the least as I watched her search the property. She was told right off the bat, that I was not a fan of the 'hot/cold' game, so she was on her own. Landen, Aubrie & Henry helped look also.

After wandering aimlessly for about 15 minutes, she told Henry to go get a clue from Derek (I already told her I would not be helping at all)

Now if we had been playing the hot/cold game, she would have been 'BURNT' several times! She stood RIGHT BY it so many times.I wanted to tell her I was just giving her a preview of 30 years from now (when she feels like she's lost her mind, or when she thinks she misplaced something and wanders around looking for it), but I decided that wouldn't be very nice or funny.
Henry came back with the clue 'It was a rectangle' well as helpful as clues can be..........IT WASN'T!! The torture continued ;) After about an hour I started to feel kind of bad for her. (okay maybe not quite an hour lol) Aubrie decided to be the nice daughter-in-law and let her know when she was getting closer, FINALLY it was found! I must say I could not believe just how many times she was RIGHT THERE!!

It was a license plate cover we had custom made that says:
!!!CAUTION!!!
GRANDMA BEHIND THE WHEEL

Call it sick, mean, cruel and unusual punishment whatever ya want but I found it rather amusing to watch her look. I call it being FUN and adventurous!!

EASTER MORNING

Easter morning, I told the boys that there was stuff ALL over the grass in the backyard. Henry asked what it was, and I told him I was not sure. He said, "Well we better grab our Easter baskets, and shoes and go check it out, maybe the Easter bunny came." So the boys got their shoes and baskets. They headed outside and discovered the Easter Bunny had come!

Here are some pictures of them as they covered EVERY inch of grass.
Henry got a cool Spongebob kite, he is excited to go fly it

Harrison needed a little guidance at times and Henry was there to help him

Harrison's favorite was a bag of 'Kat Kats' (Kit kats) he walked around holding it and would NOT let go of them

They each got sidewalk chalk also, and are excited to draw on the sidewalk outside

They did a GREAT job searching and I am happy to report they found EVERYTHING!

As Derek walked back in the house he asked Harrison if he got some stuff. In which Harrison replied, "I got stuff, and cleaned up the grass!!"

A man with a plan...

Okay so you have heard the phrase 'a man with a plan' and 'a man on a mission' I will say that Harrison was ONE of these Saturday, the morning of the town Easter egg hunt. Here is the picture I will let you decide which one you think it could be........this is what happened when the lady said, "READY GO!"

Well, I think that Harrison was 'the man with the plan' I have yet to mention that as we were walking out the door on our way to the Easter egg hunt, Harrison grabbed about 12 mini CRUNCH bars off the table and put them in his Easter basket. He knew what he wanted in his basket, so he was set already I guess, you could say he PRE-LOADED. And where he just stood there, he definitely was NOT a 'man on a mission'

I am not in any way justifying his stubbornness at the egg hunt, but it was EARLY in the morning and nothing was going to make him go pick up eggs!! Grammanita tried giving him some 'grandma' motivation, because I have found he listens better to grandma than mom at times. lol didn't work....

Derek tried to help him out by finding candy and setting it in his basket, since he is so 'monkey see, monkey do' we thought that might work.....well as soon as Derek would place it is his basket, Harrison would throw it right back out on the grass!! The only candy allowed in that basket was CRUNCH bars!!

I am hoping that next year will be a little different reaction....time will tell huh?? And next year, there will be no pre-loading permitted!! haha

A Super Bowl CHAMP, a Pro Bowler & Big H

So after I typed the title, it reminded me of one of those jokes that start out, ' a preacher, rabbi, and minister walked into a bar.....etc' you get the point. Though I could start out 'a Super bowl champ, a Pro bowler, and a boy walked onto a football field....' I won't, that would be cheesy. And this is NOT a joke!
At the Aggie scrimmage Saturday Henry had an awesome opportunity of meeting 2 current NFL players! He said he thought it was kind of a dream.

He just wanted to get a picture with them and didn't care to get their autographs because he thought a picture would be cooler! (I agree)

He was able to meet Jarret Bush of the Green Bay Packers #24 Cornerback who is a SUPER BOWL CHAMP and had a key INT in the Super Bowl. Henry thinks that's cool he picked off Roethlisberger, because he doesn't throw very many INTS!

He also met Donald Penn of the TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS #70 Tackle who played in the PRO BOWL

Henrys & his boys!

After Henry was done dipping eggs on Saturday, he got ready and went to the Aggie Blue & White game with Grandpa! He was really excited and had been looking forward to it. His favorite part of going to practices is always walking around on the field after and getting to see the players, give them five and 'bones' (pound it). Henry thinks it's cool how alot of the players remember him. So here are some pics of Henry & his boys (2011) team

Adam Kennedy QB
(he reminds Henry a lot of Jeff he said, "he is 6'4 & Jeff is 6'5, he throws a HARD, FAST sprial ball like Jeff, and he is nice like Jeff."
Taani Fisilau

BJ Larsen (went to Logan High)

Kerwynn Williams
Robert Turbin & Matt Austin

Travis VanLeeuwen
(went to Timpview, he was WR for Jeff at a lot of football camps)

Coach A
Jamie Markosian
(went to Juan Diego played against Jeff)
DJ
(played at West Jordan HS)

The egg dipper

In 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor dream coat', they sing of having a coat that was green and yellow and red and blue and purple etc...you get the point I know it's not word for word. But, I won't keep typing the song because I don't want or need it going through my head the rest of the day.
Henry had a sleepover this last Friday with Grandpa & Grandma. He hasn't slept over in a few weeks due to having soccer games on Saturday mornings, but this past weekend was a "bye" I guess you could say.

Saturday morning he got to work and dipped 18 eggs for the Easter egg hunt on Sunday, and if dipping them wasn't enough, he also put stickers on them!..and the eggs were red and yellow and orange, and green and blue!! They turned out AWESOME

"ICABLE MEEE!!"

So I am convinced that Harrison truly believes that he is a minion from the movie 'Despicable Me' whenever we watch the movie he runs up to the TV and says ,"Dere Hayson, see Hayson, that MEEE?" Then he turns and runs towards us in a little 'minion-ish' voice. It is funny and cute, but also a little creepy at times.

Today as I was gathering laundry to take to the washer, Harrison was right by my side and he saw this shirt, which is actually Henrys and attempted to put it on. Everything would have gone just fine, except due to his head size and the openings for the arms size, his head got stuck. It was a moment where as a parent, you think to yourself, 'should I take a picture of this?' or 'should I help him out' well due to the high toned polite cry for help I decided to help him get it off, and kept telling myself not to laugh......So we got the shirt on the correct way and Harrison was SO excited to have a "Icable MEEEE", shirt on he quickly pointed to all of the minions on the shirt saying ," there's Hayson, there's my Henry, Mommy, Daddy....." smiling a big cheesy Harrison grin as he pointed to each one.He then walked over to me, put his little belly up to my cheek and said:
Harrison: "Icable Me give mommy kisses!"
Me: "Oh thank you! That made me happy "
Harrison: "Mommy give Icable Me kisses"
Me: so I kissed his little minion wearing belly
Harrison:"Icable Me loves Mommy"
Me: "Mommy loves Icable Me"
Harrison: "Hayson loves Mommy"
Me: "Mommy loves Harrison!"
Harrison: "give me HUG!"

shooting, slides & spinning

Today was such a nice day! I thought I would surprise the boys and asked them if they wanted to go to the park! They were SO excited, so we loaded up and went to the park.
When we got to the park they immediately started shooting hoops on the big basketball hoop. After shooting on the big hoop for a while, they headed toward the slides. Henry of course knows that you climb up the stairs or the ladder to get to the slides.
Harrison on the other hand, even further confirmed my thought that he is somehow half monkey by climbing UP the slide, only to turn around and come back down.......

They both decided their favorite slide was the BLUE one!! It was FAST :)Harrison is SO 'Monkey see, monkey do' Henry was GREAT with him and showed him how to climb up the high step stairs. Harrison was very observant of Henry and decided to climb up the bars, and the rock climbing part also. He was a CLIMBING fool!! :)It didn't take too long for Harrison to discover the mini-hoop they have at the park and he ran over there with a ball and started shooting, he then told Henry to come over and shoot with him. It was cute! :)
Henry pretended that he was trapped in a cage!!Henry was excited to push Harrison around on the merry-go-round, but Harrison on the other hand did not like it, so they reversed roles!!! haha
Now, instead of a 6 year old pushing a 2 year old on the merry-go-round, you had a 2 year old pushing a 6 year old. I must say I was surprised, Harrison got Henry spinning pretty fast!! It was funny Harrison gained so much momentum when he was spinning Henry that he didn't know how to stop and he didn't dare let go....no worries, I helped him out. They BOTH laughed at each other and had a lot of fun!!It was a fun day, we also headed to the soccer field, but didn't stay too long, it started to rain a little.
