Hardy Hoopsters are BACK!!

With the snow melted, and such a nice outside yesterday the boys were up for anything! After Henrys first soccer practice, we was ready for more! So after riding scooters around with Lil H, they decided to "hoop it up" as Harrison would say. I must say I think I just might be raising both Al Lewis & Rod Tuellers replacements!! lol Harrison sure learns a lot from Henry and one thing I definitely think he has learned is 'commentating while you play'. lol It is fun to watch them play together. For the most part they are very supportive and encourage each other, but, they also have their moments where they not necessarily 'trash talk' to each other, but they just get competitive (in a brother sort of way) and aren't afraid to let the other one know that they missed a shot :) it is funny. Henry is doing really well at working on dribbling the ball without picking it up between dribbles, he has discovered how to do the 'reverse layup', and I will admit he is getting pretty good at it. He has also been working on jump shots, and foul shots, he has come to conclude after watching the NCAA games this month that foul shots can be very important! :) He is getting excited about playing JR JAZZ someday, but I think that will have to wait till he is 8? He still likes to commentate while he dribbles. He is a good little athlete! He also took a step closer to being a 'real guy' when he decided to play 'skins' style (without the shirt) lol

Harrison, is coming along and is very, very observant! He is like Henry in alot of ways, they both love to sit down and watch a basketball game on TV. He thinks he is hot stuff lately, wherever he shoots hoops, he is lucky in that the hoop is lowered to the lowest height. And at the age of 2 he can make it!! More than once! He shot around with Henry yesterday, and would tell him "WOOSH....NICE SHOT.....Oh, so close try again.....or even AIRBALL!" (he would even say it to himself) He loves just playing with Henry and is learning how to assist Henry, and let Henry assist him with the basket. I always knew Harrison had a hard head, but after watching them play yesterday, that was just reaffirmed. lol There were a few times the ball doinked him on the head, but it never fazed him....No harm no foul right?!? haha So here are some more fun pics of the Hardy Hoopsters, hoopin it up! :) Until next time.....

Scooter Time!!!

Yesterday was such a nice day outside, that the boys grabbed their scooters and we headed over to grammanitas driveway and they rode for about 30 minutes. Henry has some pretty cool, wicked scooter skills for a 6 year old :) lol He rode with only 1 foot on the scooter for 30 seconds! Pretty cool! And he gets going very fast on it also. I wouldn't say he's quite ready for the X-games or travel with the Dew tour, but he has some skill! lol He likes to ride his scooter and is getting excited to possibly ride it to church sometime. So we will see about that.

Harrison, is a "rookie" in the sport of scooters, so to say! He received a scooter for his 2nd birthday. And due to inclement was not able scoot around during the winter, but he did ride around the kitchen quite a bit. His braking could definitely use some practice, I don't know how many times he ran into the fridge or oven, so it will be nice for him to have some open space and hopefully he won't run into a tree or bush......but time will tell. I think that we will be purchasing, either bubble wrap, or elbow, knee pads, helmet for him for sure!!! lol
They had such a fun time together, Harrison was 'chasing' Henry on his scooter. And no injuries to report!! SO it was a good time :) They sure love hanging out with each other!

Free pizza for Big H

At school Henry can earn a pizza certificate, for turning in his home work on time. He has earned a certificate every month! Yesterday we decided to go out to dinner and let him use the certificate. He ordered a cheese pizza, and it was VERY cheesy and gooey. Harrison had nuggets and all of my tater tots, he thought he was sneaky and started out taking one at a time, then took the whole bag when I wasn't looking :) Which is fine, he could probably use them more than me. It was a fun time and Harrison behaved well, did not throw one item of food.
You see we don't go out to eat very often as a family, because in past attempts, it did not go or end well. Just an example, one time we went to Wingers and Harrison was throwing the popcorn in our water he thought it was like basketball, and then he started throwing the utensils.... as a result of those actions, I went out to the car with Harrison, and had to have Dad bring me my dinner in a box :) Harrison, just didn't behave appropriately in a public setting I guess you could say. But, as the days and months (mostly months) have gone by he is getting better, and behaves more like a human, instead of some kind of wild animal. Henry is good with him and teaches him good manners.
So after we had dinner yesterday we went to Caspers and got some shakes and Harrison got a "cream, cream" (ice cream in a bowl) It was a good way to end a fun family outing.
Good job Henry you are an AWESOME student!! Keep getting those pizza coupons, and we will have to go out to dinner at least once a month.
