Mirror, mirror on the wall.....yeah that saying works in Snow White. My saying goes like this... 'mirrors, mirrors not on the wall'... So, we started this past week with 3 mirrors in the house and we end it with 1. If it is true that it is 7 years of bad luck for a broken mirror, then I guess the next 14 years are going to be interesting perhaps eventful (but in a good way right??;). On Wednesday our full size mirror in our room fell and needless to say it did not survive, it shattered. Today Harrison knocked the mirror that I hang in the entryway down, and it landed on his head, and broke. Then about an hour after that he got stung on the forehead by a wasp in the kitchen. What a morning, where is the white flag to wave when you need it?
In a moment of frustration I walked outside to get some fresh air. While there I had a nice little chat with the mother-in-law. She kindly reminded me that "This to shall pass." I agree. Now life can throw things at you, that WILL pass, but sometimes while waiting for that process it can feel like a kidney stone it can be painful, may sting a little, or it seem like it's going take 10 stool softeners to help every thing be smoother, more bearable, and not hurt as bad when it does pass. At least that is how I feel. I look at this past week more as the kidney stone type. It just stung a little.
I have two sayings in my house, "Don't sweat the small stuff." The other saying is, "Find the good in everyday." I truly believe that you should not buy a sign with a saying on it, if you do not believe what it says. So I am not going to sweat losing 2 of our 3 mirrors in the past week. And I am going to find the good in today. The mirror did not cut Harrisons head open when it landed on him. And Harrison is taking a nap as I type!!! Yay :) So that is my blog for now. I just had to get these feelings out. lol Thanks for reading :) Plus I will admit it was a little "therapeutic" Till next time.
